The funeral service was held at the home with Rev. Dr. Merritt of the Methodist Church conducting the services. The interment was in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Mrs. Cora E. Steele was born in the state of Indiana March 20, 1875, and departed this life April 18, 1905. She leaves a husband and four little children to mourn her loss. These are two boys and two girls, the oldest 11 years and the youngest 17 months of age.
Mrs. Steele has been a resident of Mesa County since her childhood. She was a member and died in the faith of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Steele was well known as a lovable Christian lady.
The members of this stricken home have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
