Obituary

Monmouth Review Atlas.

She died at her home at 102 South B Street after being Illinois for about four months. She had come to Warren County, in about 1836 and settled in Sugar Tree Grove where she lived until about seven years before her death when she moved into Monmouth. She married John R. Graham in 1842 and was the mother of seven children, including four sons and three daughters all of whom survived her including John A. Graham, Mrs. T. L. Balmer and Mrs. Minnie Davis, all of Monmouth. Funeral services were held at her home and conducted by Reverend C.F. Smith of the Methodist church. Further services were held at her home in Sugar Tree Grove with Reverend Samuel Brown and she was buried with her husband in the Sugar Tree Grove cemetery. Her death is registered in the records of the Sugar Tree Grove Presbyterian Church, she died at 89.

The Monmouth Review of 25 March 1892 has a long article about her Golden wedding anniversary. It was celebrated at her home northwest of Monmouth. There were forty guests, she received gold spectacles and her husband a gold headed cane plus other gifts. They were married at her parent's home
