Jerry C. Morris, 70, passed away March 20, 2015, in Klamath Falls, Ore. He was born March 17, 1945, in Malin, Ore., to Curtis and Elsie Morris. He was raised in Malin and graduated from Malin High School in 1963. He married Peggy Long of Malin in 1965. He served for two years in the National Guard shortly after they were married. In 1974, they moved to Tacoma, Wash., to attend Northwest Baptist Seminary School. After a few years, they returned to Malin to raise their family and work for Morris Transfer, the family trucking company. He worked as a truck driver and later a broker, returning to driving a truck, from which he eventually retired. Peggy passed away in 1996. In 1998, he married Adelia Rockwood. They later divorced, but remained good friends. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, hunting, fishing, and playing poker and card games. He also enjoyed doing cross-word puzzles, math, and anything that challenged the mind. Survivors include his daughter, Shawna Morris-Rick of Klamath Falls; sons, Jerrod Morris of Medford, Ore., and Jeremy Morris of Klamath Falls; longtime friend and companion, Adelia Rockwood; sister, Tori Morris-Hill of Malin; brothers, Dale Morris of Malin and Leonard Morris of Susanville, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Long-Morris; mother, Elsie Morris; father, Curtis Morris; and sister, Kristy Morris. A celebration of life service will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Malin Community Hall. A potluck will follow the service.
