Shara graduated from Harrison High School in1976. She was one of the first female electricians in Evansville. In 2015, Shara retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Works (IBEW) out of the Evansville Local 16, with over 30 years of service. She took pride in her family and her career.
She is survived by son, Colton Peck of Waukee, IA; mother, Carol Schurman of Evansville; sisters, Toni Holland of Florida, Kelly Wickiser (Steve) of Newburgh, IN, and step-siblings, Steven Schurman (Ann) of Mt. Carmel, IL., and Susan Zeeb of Mt. Carmel, IL.
