He then worked as a mechanic for Hullett Motors in Boonville. In 1982, he started with ROBUR (Arkla). At ROBUR, Daniel was a trouble shooter and was able to travel throughout the world.
Daniel was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn V. Simpson; grandmother, Alberta Ellis; and grandparents, Sadie and Eskel Simpson.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Bernita E. Simpson; aunt and uncle, Wanda and Herbert Toone; uncle, Glendal R. Ellis; and cousins and families.
