Reported killed in action were army Pfc. James W. Pendergrass of Broken Arrow Pendergrass died from wounds suffered during an enemy rocket attack near the Cambodian border. He had been in the army since November, 1967, and in Vietnam about five weeks. He was serving with the 4th Cavalry of the 25th Infantry Division. Pendergrass, 18, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Pendergrass of Broken Arrow.
