Sarah Frieda Wolk, beloved mother, step-mother aunt and grandmother. Widow of the late Louis Wolk, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio. She was the youngest daughter of Schmuila-Oscher Koblenz and Geisa Dores Koblenz. Born in/near Dvinsk, Russia, she immigrated to the United States in in 1932, joining her husband Louis Wolk, and several of her children who crossed before her. A daughter Bess also predeceased her in Lativia. Sister of Max Koblentz.(Rae) and the late Julius (Lena) Koblentz; a brother, Hona Koblentz (Ida) of Philadelphia survives as do children and grandchildren. Sister of the late Miriam Wolk, predeceased her in Latvia.

Note, Sarah's eldest daughter, Meri (Merka) married a Scholom Gurwitsch in Daugavpils, with two children. While Latvian archive offials show that the couple had passports, they were listed as evacuated in 1941. To where, is unknown, but it was believed to the east, away from German forces. Their ultimate fate is not known by the family members.
