U.S. Congressman. As a child, he immigrated with his parents to the United States and settled in Nebraska. He attended Grand Island Business College and became successful in agricultural pursuits, in the mercantile and creamery business at Minden, Nebraska. In 1935, he was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-fourth and Seventy-fifth Congresses, serving until 1939. Failing to be reelected, he helped organize the Constitutional Money League of America and returned to his previous business interests until his death at age 77.
