John M. Gugie, 35, of Allentown, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of Janice Gugie of Allentown. He was a brilliant mind.

He graduated with honors from both Freedom High School and Moravian College; earning his BA in Finance.

He was an accomplished freelance writer, contributing to numerous websites with a wide range of subject material.

He had a passion for poetry and affection for all things horror.

Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his mom, Janice; uncles, John Gugie of Allentown and Charles Gugie of Bethlehem; cousins; and his many friends both stateside and abroad.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Anton and Theresa Barany; and grandmother, Helen Gugie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where viewing hours will be held on Monday, November 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
