Elsie Monnett Malcolm. Born in Scott Township, Marion County, Ohio. She was the second daughter and fifth of twelve children born to Abraham and Catherine (Braucher) Monnett. Married to James Malcolm. Three children, Katharyn, Gilbert ("Tom") and Elmira. Elsie was known as peacemaker in her family, forgiving, and always one to remind a brother, or sister, that blood is thicker than water (or bad business deals). She was respected in Bucyrus, Ohio, and held leadership positions in Methodist Episcopal women's organization's in Crawford County. She was a trustee of Monnett Chapel and worked on the building committee to build the 1904 Frank Packard designed structure that stands on St. Rt. 98 to this day.
