4/25/1921 Ardmore Soldier's Body Is Returned (Monday)
Ardmore, Okla., April 24 – The body of Raymond B. "Buster" Cutts, Ardmore boy who was killed in action thirty minutes before the armistice was signed, arrived here Sunday from overseas and will be held until Sunday, May 1, for burial.
"Buster" Cutts served as a corporal in Company H, 345th infantry and was brigaded with the English in Belgian territory. He was killed in the Flanders field and the body was buried in a cemetery nearby and remained there until it was brought to the United States.
Cutts was born in Ardmore September 7, 1891. His father was a one time postmaster in this city. Both parents are dead.
Funeral services will be held under the auspices of the George R. Anderson post of the American Legion. Mrs. Ada Hines, a grandmother of Cutts, resides in this city.

Mrs. Ada Hines, 507 F street, northeast, last night received a telegram from her son, Fred Hines, at Amarillo, Texas, saying he just had word from the government that “Buster” was killed in action.” This means Raymond Cutts, formerly of Ardmore, known to his friends as “Buster,” a grandson of Mrs. Hines, and a nephew of Fred Hines and Claude M. Hines, of this city. “Buster” Cutts had been in the regular army for more than four years having volunteered and went from New York, being in the 41st Infantry. He was well known in Ardmore and had many friends here.
