The remains of Richard M Sprigg, who died several months ago in New York, arrived in Cumberland on Wednesday for final interment in Rose Hill Cemetery beside his wife who died several years since.
The remains will be accompanied by William O Sprigg Esq., son of the deceased. Friends and pallbearers are requested to assemble at the B & O station in time to meet the train. 15 Sep 1897
Mr Sprigg was 92 years old and was a brother of General Joseph Sprigg of this city. Mr Sprigg was superintendent of the Staten Island RR prior to his death.
His one son, William O Sprigg is an official of the Southern RR located in Ashville NC.
