Elijah Dykes,of Drum,died January 14,1926 at the home of his son,L.W.Dykes,after an illness of a month.Funeral services were conducted by Rev.A.J.Ridner.
Mr.Dykes was a civil war vetern,having servered with The twelfth Kentucky Infantry for three years and eight months.
He was a member of the White Lily Baptist Church.
Three sons and one daughter survive:L.W.Dykes of Drum;R.J.Dykes OF Bobtown;Katchel Dykes of Miami,Fla.and Mrs.Nancy Baker of Drum,Ky.
