Hector A. Silva, CPD age 36, Sgt. CPD, beloved husband of Victoria (nee Salinas), loving father of Antonia and Miranda, dear son of Anastacio and Carmen (nee Villarrubia), fond brother of Edwin CPD (Linda) and Chely (Lenny) Chevere, uncle to many nieces and nephews and brother to many.

Visitation Thursday and Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 10 a.m., from Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., to Immaculate Conception Church. Mass 11 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. 773-774- 4100

Sgt. Hector Silva, 36, tragically died while participating in a special operations training exercise which occurred on Sunday, September 30, 2001; he died of his injuries two days later.

When Hector's final roll call bell was rung we not only lost a dedicated Police Officer that served the citizens of Chicago with honor and dignity.
