duke.we got him the summer of 1978,when i was 10 years old.my brother ,(jorge ramirez,1950-1989),brought him home.i thought he was our previous dog King,but he wasnt.instead of hugging him,i just sat down.he introducede himself by eating the donut i was having as my snack!everyone laughed but i was very serious.i informed my brother he now owed me a new donut(he got me two).after that though we became best friends and he became the new baby of the family.during the holidays he got his share of everything we had.a drumstick on thanksgivivg,a centerbone on new years.he even got a gift for christmas.but as he got older,his health began to fail.one day i went down to the first floor of our home to check up on him and he wasnt there.i thought my mother(socorro talavera ramirez 1929-1988)had taken him for a walk,but that wasnt the case.i found him at his favorite spot,behind the couch.he passed away on november 14,1983.he was 15 years old so he lived a long and hopefully happy life.i still miss him even after all these years.even though he was our baby,he was my best friend.
