He was serving in the United States Navy stationed at Lemoore, California and was at Anchorage, Alaska at the time of his death.

Allen and daughter Cailey Renee Allen; parents Paul and Cecelia Allen; sister Katherine Iven and husband Daniel; grandmother Evelyn Monk; nephew Tristan Iven of Lumberton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
