Robert Gordon Ball, son of Valentine Ball and Mary Ball, formerly Moore, was born on 12 February 1888 at 28 Waterloo Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin.
His father was the Director of the Science & Art Museum

Richard Gordon Ball, aged 32, a bachelor, a Captain, RAMC, late of 28 Waterloo Road, Dublin, died on 3 February 1920 at King George V Hospital, Blackhorse Avenue, Cabra, Dublin.
The cause of death was Valvular Disease of the Heart, 2 years, Mitral Cardiac Failure, certified.

He is buried in the family plot, which contains his father Dr. Valentine Ball [Director of the Dublin Art & Science Institutions], and his mother Mary Ball.
