Captain The Honourable Hector John Atkinson.

Born at Glenwilliam Castle, Ballingarry, Co. Limerick.
Son of John Atkinson [1844-1932] Solicitor-General later Attorney-General for Ireland, and Rowena Chute Atkinson [d. 1911].
John Atkinson was created Baron Atkinson in 1905.

Husband of Sybil Ievers Atkinson [b. 1888] of 74, Merrion Square, Dublin. They were married in Limerick in the summer of 1910.
In the 1911 census, they were living at Kilmainham, Co. Cavan, and had been married less than one year. He noted that he was "a Captain in the Royal Irish Fusiliers, on the active list" . He was 31 years old, and she was 22 years old.
