Terry Baldwin and Fred Green were classmates in Foxboro for 12 years. Baldwin's house was on Morse Street and Green lived in his family homestead on East Street called 'Green Acres.' They attended the Pratt School for four years, the Carpenter School for one year and what is now the Igo Elementary School for junior and senior high. They graduated in the Class of 1963.
Terry was drafted by the army and Fred attended the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. They both served their country in Vietnam, but that is where the two classmates parted ways.

Baldwin was killed in action in 1967.

Green returned to his native Foxboro to marry his high school sweetheart Carol Budlong and start a family. The happy couple has been married for 44 years.
Green has never forgotten his childhood classmate; in fact, Army Private Terry Baldwin is one of the three brave men Green dedicated his run to in this year's "Run to Home Base." The Run-Walk event takes place in Boston and has raised $7.5 million since it began in 2010. Back at home, at the Vietnam Memorial on the Common on Memorial Day, Green pointed out the name of his fallen friend, "Terry L. Baldwin."
