WILLIAM LEROY CREWS, 68, died Sunday, September 29, 1996 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Deverle Archer officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. The body will lie at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Crews was born August 6, 1928 in Red River County, TX to Willie Dee and Hester Louise Morton Crews. He had served in the Army and was retired from Glitsch. He was a member of the Highway Full Gospel Church. He married Minnie Pearl Hargrove September 4, 1982 in Grand Prairie, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Anthony Crews; three sisters, Terrie Lynn, Carolyn and Patsy Lee Crews.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie; step-mother, Nina M. Crews of Paris; two sons, William Earl (Denise) Crews, Charles Wayne (Sherry) Crews, both of Grand Prairie; six brothers, Robert George (Hayako) Crews, Albert Ralph (Julie) Crews, James Dee (Shirley) Crews, Charles Clyde (Cleo) Crews, Michael Wayne (Regenea) Crews and Willie Eugene Crews; three sisters, Mary Moore, Dona Marie Boydston and Patricia Ann (Jerry Lynn) Thompson; five grandchildren, Jason Wayne Crews, Amy K. Crews, Krystal A. Crews, Nicole A. Crews and Kaylani A.T. Crews.

Pallbearers will be Olin, Otis, Lecil and Bobby Herrin, Ricky Massey, Joe Miller and Lawrence Malone.
