Marie was the daughter of Frank Hess and Carrie Reuter. About 1918 she married Edward Green and they had three children: Mary, Edward and John. Edward died in 1958 and on 27 Jul 1961 she married Melvin Black. She was a Red Cross nurses aide during World War II. Marie died at the Norton Memorial Infirmary at the age of 71.
