William was the son of Alexander Comley and Margaret Mahoney. On 09 Jun 1914 he married Margaret Recevour and they had four children: Anne, Eugene, William, and Margaret. He was a retired yardmaster for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. William died at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital at the age of 78.
