My Grandma, Marion, was the second of four children born to Edward James Willman II and Sophia Fredericka Gutman. On 25 Nov 1937 she eloped and married Raymond Arthur Eschman and they had five children: Terry, Kenneth, Richard, Paula, and Stephen. They were married for 66 years when Grandpa died of Parkinson's Disease on New Years Eve, 2003. Three years later, on 22 July 2006, Grandma married Joseph Cox and they would enjoy two years together until Joe passed away in 2008. A few years later she moved into the home of her son Stephen and she remained there until her health began to decline and she moved into the Westminster Village Nursing Home in Clarksville. She remained there for the rest of her days and died peacefully on the morning of 24 June 2013.

Grandma may have been short-in-stature (at her tallest she was a mere 4'10 3/4") but she was big of heart. She was always smiling and laughing and there was always a sparkle in her eyes. She put everyone around her at ease and any room would light up when she entered it. She was a very good cook and her children and grandchildren fondly remember the wonderful meals that would be served during the holidays. She and Grandpa lived in a 19th century Victorian house in Louisville's Portland neighborhood and it was truly like stepping back in time when one entered the door. It was a huge, old building with wooden floors, high ceilings, and antiques everywhere. They truly turned a large house into a warm home.

Grandma was also a talented quilter and seamstress and the many quilts, baby blankets, and dolls that she created will be cherished by her descendants for years to come.
