Lloyd Oliver "Buck" Osborn, 73 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Sunday morning January 3, 2004 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The son of Charles Lloyd and Clella Corrine (Coffman) Osborn, Lloyd was born February 26, 1930 in Callao, MIssouri. On December 18, 1949 in Kirksville he was married to Viva Lea Gilespie who survives.
He is also survived by one son, Terry Allen Osborn of Alexandria, LA; one daughter, Lorrie Sue McKim of Kirksville; three brothers, Sidney Osborn and Lonnie Osborn both of Brashear, MO and Ronnie Osborn of Kirksville; one sister, Marlene Lay of Daytona Beach, FL; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gary Steven and Robert Bruce Osborn and two sisters, Fara Aaron and Beverly Dare Osborn.
Mr. Osborn had residedin Alexandria, LA since 1974 and returned to Kirksville in December 2001. He served in the Unite States Air Force where he specialized in Aircraft Maintenance and electronics from 1948 until 1953 during the Korean Conflict. In 1974 Lloyd went to work with Ramada Inn in Alexandria, LA where he was employed 27 years until his retirement in 2001.
Buck enjoyed being with his family, fishing and tinkering with motors or anything mechanical. He had been a member of the DAV and VFW.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday January 8, 2004 at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville with Brother Bary Poyner officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Queen City Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri. Bearers will be Jerry Rogers, Dewayne Rogers, Casey McKim, Steven Osborn, Jeff Osborn and Blake Rogers.
