Susan Coe Blauvelt joined the Association of Blauvelt Descendants on 5 December 1926.
She served the organization as Treasurer from 1926-1938.
Except for a few years when she was a resident of West Winfield, New York, she taught in the Nyack Public School system, forty three years in all.
She never married.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Nyack, and always took an active part in church affairs.
While in West Winfield she became a member of the Winfield Scott Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and when she returned to Nyack she was one of the organizers of Shatemuc Chapter, and later its regent. She was a founding member of the Association of Blauvelt Descendants and served as its treasurer
for twelve years.
