Born in Bloomsburg, July 26, 1935, he was a son of the late Raymond and Ellen Hoover Ricker.
He as a 1953 graduate of Lewisburg High School, and a former member of First United Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg. he was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Ricker is survived by his wife, Joan Bastian Ricker; two sons, John R. Ricker II of Watsontown and Staff Sgt. Curtis Swank, stationed in Torrejon, Spain; three daughter, Mrs. Connielee Vance of Williamsport, Kimberly Swank of Williamsport and Mrs. Ruth Lee Sandel of Northumberland; five brothers, Carl of Marysville, Glenn of Montandon, Kenneth of New Castle, Del., Paul of Carlisle and Russell of Philadelphia; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Gemberling of Middleburg; and four grandchildren.
