Sister of my grandfather, James Emmit Deel.

Flora Lurena Deel was born on Thursday, August 12, 1897 in Fisher County, Texas to George Washington Deel and Florence Emaline "Galley" Brookshire.

She had thirteen siblings: Alexander Lafayette Deel, Walter Robert Deel, James Emmit Deel, Charlie Ivan Deel, George "Henry" Deel, Birtie Guy Deel, Alley Lee Deel, Essie Adron Deel Ivison, Katy "Jewell" Deel Miller, Florence Virginia Deel, Noel "Pete" Deel, Willie Graves Deel and Orris V. Deel, Sr.

Her paternal grandparents were Peter Abraham Deel, III and Isabella Serena Duff and her maternal grandparents were Graves Goodrich Brookshire and Sarah Frances Bacon.

She married Reecie Clyde Blount on October 30, 1919 in Roby, Fisher County, Texas. They were blessed with seven children: Dorthea Clyde Blount, George Russell Blount, Lenora Rene Blount, Jessie Graves Blount, Richard Doyle Blount, Patsy Jane Blount Lawrence, and Jimmy Thomas Blount.

She died on Thursday, January 17, 1963 in Fisher County, Texas. She was 65 years old.
