Hazel was born to Oscar Bell and Ettie Reagor Joslin in Dyer County, Tennessee. Hazel married Wilburn Sessum Deel on December 25, 1945. They lived in Levelland, Texas in the early 1950's and remained there until her death.
Survived by her husband, Dr. Wilburn Sessum Deel of Levelland; two sons, Dennis Deel of Denver, Colorado, and David Deel of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Sandy Deel of Lubbock and Susie Winegar of Levelland; grandchildren, Christopher, Deanna, Jennifer, Cary, Rusty, Michael, Steven, Jeremy, Sabrina, and Keelee; great-grandchildren, Colby, Carter, Kaie, Sage, and Crissy; and a brother, Billy Joslin of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Hazel is buried in Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, Texas in the northeast section of the cemetery next to her brother Reager Joslin
