She was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Jackson County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Tom and Leetah Rowand Balderson.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Battin was a member of the Parkersburg Widow and Widowers Club, taught Sunday school for many years and was the oldest member of the Evangelical Methodist Church on Gihon Road.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Velma Metz, Genevieve Watkins and Lusta Martin; and two brothers, Raymond and Vernon Balderson.
