He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, and his brothers, Carl and Gilbert.
He played on Titusville High's first football team and graduated in 1930. In 1947, he was elected to the Titusville City Council and two years later he was elected Mayor.
In 1941, he purchased a Gulf Service Station which was just north of the present City Hall and operated this business for 35 years until he retired in 1976.
He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church and has taught Sunday School for 69 years. He was still teaching at the time he celebrated his 100th birthday.
Guy is survived by his son, Ron Boyd (Teedie), his daughter, Sue Forward (Don), both of Titusville; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 pm, Saturday, with a Memorial Service following at 3 pm, at Park Avenue Baptist Church.
