Graveside Rites for Clodfelters
Double graveside services will be held Tuesday for Mr. & Mrs. O.S. Clodfelter, victims of the Udall tornado disaster. Mrs. Clodfelter was 77, and Mr. Clodfelter was 80.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Belle Plaine cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Karlowski, Epworth Methodist church pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Giles Stagner of Udall.
Mr. and Mrs. Clodfelter had been life long residents of the Udall community. Mrs. Clodfelter came to the vicinity with her parents from Plainsville, Ohio, and Mr. Clodfelter came to Kansas in 1876 from Portland Mills, Ind., in a covered wagon. Mr. Clodfelter was a retired farmer and was serving the Udall Methodist church as custodian. He and his wife had both been closely associated with the church activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. P.D. Prothro of Wichita and Mrs. R.W. Sharp, Paloga, Okla.; and two sons, Leslie and Forrest, Grand Junction, Colo.
Surviving Mrs. Clodfelter is one sister, Mrs. John Alexander, Oxford. Mr. Clodfelter iw survived by two brothers, Ivan and Carson, both of Winfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Clay Ratcliff, Belle Plaine, Mrs. O.M. Nix, Liberal and Mrs. Walter Fooshee, Sylvia.
There are also 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren surviving.
