He was preceded in death by his wife, Marabeth Kessinger Myers.
He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and he retired from Ford Motor Company.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim Meyer (Billy) and Donna Early (Clay); grandsons, Sean (Amelia), Alex (Brittany) and Chris (Brittany); great-grandsons, Ben and Sawyer; sister-in-law, Margie Cave (Dave); and special companion, Vivian Askren His funeral service will be held noon Wednesday at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
