Father of Julie Crispin Klusty and "Poppy" to Jaylie and Jace Klusty.

Suggested edit: SUFFIELD/MANCHESTER - Fredrick (Rick) Madison Crispin, Jr., of Suffield, age 62, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with ALS.

Rick graduated in 1965 from Manchester High School then served two years in the U.S. Army serving in the Panama Canal Zone. He was a member of The American Legion. Rick retired from Ohio Bell with over 30 years of service. After retiring he worked for K&D Construction and Ten Point Crossbow. Rick was member of Temple Baptist Church in Greensburg.

Rick enjoyed life, family and many, many friends, his 'oldies music', 66 Chargers and 47 Fords. His annual corn roast with family, friends and good corn was one of his favorite things. He loved being with family, especially his grandchildren. He was 'Poppy' to Jaylie and Jace Klusty.

Rick was always there for anyone who needed anything. He never met a stranger and saw the good in everyone. He will be remembered by all the neighborhood kids for his special popcorn treats for Trick or Treat on Halloween.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Fred in 2000, his mother, Ruby in May of 2009 and his brother, Roger in June of 2009, many aunts, uncles and very special friends, Russ, Roy, Dewey, Ron and Butch.
