Raymond H Gressley, of Sedalia, died Dec 8, 2002, at Four Seasons Living Center.
He was born Apr 7, 1912, in Indiana, PA, a son of Alvin and Jennie Cameron Gressley. On Sep 14, 1934 in Indiana, PA, he was married to Elizabeth Buck.
Mr Gressley was a 1931 graduate of Indiana High School, where he was a member of the football, basketball and track teams. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of New Castle Consistory Scottish Rite Masons. He was a World War II veteran in the Navy Air Corps. He was a member of the American Legion for more than 60 years. He retired from the Gulf Research and Development Corp. in Harmarville, PA, before moving to Sedalia in 1997. He was a former member of the Sedalia Knife and Fork Club.
Also surviving are a daughter, Raybetta G McCandless of Sedalia; two sons, Kenneth Gressley of Hopewell Township, PA, and Stuart Gressley of Sedalia; a brother, Edward Gressley of Indiana, PA; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1962, his father in 1963, four brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers were Keith McCandless, William McCandless, Raymond E Gressley, Scott Gressley, Gregory Gressley and Randall Gressley.
