Kimball Township- Roy C. Pifer, 72, of 4705 Fish Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1984, in Port Huron hospital after a short illness. He was born March 6, 1912, in Roseburg, and was a life long area resident. He married Purcilla Kibbey in Port Huron. Mr. Pifer was a retiree of St. Clair Rubber Company. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Wesley and Leslie Pifer, both of Port Huron, Elton Lee Pifer, New Castle, Del., and George E. Pifer, Bedford, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ilene) Perriam, Arkona, Ontario; 11 grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Mildred Sharette, Port Huron, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes-South Chapel, Port Huron. The Rev. David Amstutz of North Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roy and Don Perriam Jr., Everitt Peterson, Mel Mazure, Richard Moses and Vernell Neil Jr. Visiting is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and Thursday.
