Actor. Born John Henry George Forgeham, he was best known for his role of businessman Frank Laslett in the British television drama "Footballers' Wives" from 2002 to 2004. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) on a 2 year scholarship and graduated with a RADA Silver medal for Best Performance student. He later became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and while on tour in Australia, founded the Globe Shakespeare Theatre in Sydney. He got his start in films with a role in the film "The Partner" in 1963. He would go on to perform in such films as "The Italian Job" (1969), "One Hour to Zero" (1976), "Sheena" (1984), "The Inquiry" (1987), "King of the Wind" (1990), "The Young Americans" (1993), "Remember Me?" (1997), and "Kiss of the Dragon" (2001). His first television performance was on the series "No Hiding Place" in 1963. Besides "Footballers' Wives", he would go on to act in such series as "Catwalk", "Crossroads", "I, for Lester", "C.A.T.S. Eyes", "Final Run", "Making Out", "Blue Heaven", "The Ruth Rendell Mysteries", "The Bill", and "Doctors". He passed away after a fall in his home caused internal bleeding.
