She was the wife of Thomas J. Chambers, who, in 1849, came to California and followed mining on the American River, later returning to Washington where he also located on Chambers Prairie, engaging in farming. He served in the Indian War in Washington.
In 1867, he located at Yakima where he resided until his death in 1913, at eighty-six years of age.
From their union, the Chambers had seven children; most born at Chambers Prairie; educated in the public schools of Yakima, and assisting with stock-raising:

Letitia Chambers Livengood (1856-09/08/1928);
Minerva Jane Chambers Dorian (1861-01/18/1938);
John Thomas Chambers (03/16/1862-);
