Clarence P. Bugbee, 93, of Vermillion, SD passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center.
Clarence was born September 20, 1918 in Emporia, KS to Charles and Ila (Totton) Bugbee. He graduated from Emporia High School in Kansas in 1936 and received his teaching certificate from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. He entered the Army in 1941 with the Corps of Engineers in the 386th Engineer Battalion.
He married Wilma Wiley on May 2, 1942 in Kentucky, she passed away in 2010. Clarence was retired from the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, MO.
He is survived by his son Darrel Bugbee of Kansas City, MO and a daughter Jolynn (Ken Renner) Bugbee of Beresford, SD and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4 at the Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, KS. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
