Pioneer dentist. Oscar H. Simpson invented many of the dental tools still in use today, as well as many of his own inovations in the field. Mr. Simpson was also facinated with concrete. An amateur sculpturer, he fashioned death masks and boots and placed them on Boot Hill Cemetery in Dodge City as a joke during a 1932 rotory convention. Many folks began to come from all over to see these "graves", and thus tourism was started here in Dodge. He also made momuments in honor of the Sante Fe Trail travelers (the oxen), Joe Sughrue (an early cowboy and Ford County Sheriff), and Paddy the Bear.
