Cora Mae Bowen, age 102 years, 3 months, 13 days, of Yale, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at MediLodge of Yale. She was born Saturday, November 12, 1910, in Valley Center, the daughter of the late Sidney and Nora (Stokan) Hall.

Her marriage to Lewis Albert Bowen was June 26, 1937 in Melvin at her parents home. Lewis died January 21, 1966.

Cora was a member of the Melvin Methodist Church where she played the piano and organ and was the church treasurer.

She was a Farm Bureau and Michigan Home Economics member.

Surviving are:
…two sons and daughters-in-law, Clark (Ellie) of Illinois and William (Emma) Bowen of Yale;
…eleven grandchildren;
…23 great-grandchildren;
…four great-great-grandchildren, as well as
…several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and
…friends.

She is preceded in death by:
…a daughter, Nancy Jane Bradley;
…a daughter-in-law, Sue Bowen;
…two brothers, Glen and Roy Hall; and
…two sisters Beatrice Hall and Beulah Campbell.

Cremation arrangements provided by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale.

Graveside services will take place at a later date. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Melvin.
