MUNCIE--Kizzie Ann Clark was born on July 31, 1951, in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late Bennie Clark, Jr., and Loretta Miller. Affectionately known as "Suga Suga", Kizzie was the second of five siblings with whom she shared a deep love and a special bond.

Kizzie moved to Muncie, IN with her family as a child. She accepted Christ at a very young age at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Muncie, IN. Kizzie navigated the public school system in Muncie and graduated from Southside High School with the Class of 1970.

In 1971, she was married to Ricky Edwards, Sr., and gave birth to her first son, Ricky Edwards, Jr. In 1974, Kizzie shared a special relationship with Bernard Graham and had a second son, Teko Edwards. She was dedicated to taking care of her two sons and often bragged about how hard she worked to keep a smile on their faces.

In her spare time, Kizzie was a member of the local drill team and served as Staff Officer as the House of Ruth Lodge. She was employed in the health system and moved to Michigan with her children where she worked at General Motors for a number of years. Kizzie lived life to the fullest extent. She had experience with modeling, explored talent as a musician, and played Semi-Pro softball in the position of right fielder for the Cats until 1980. In 1998, Kizzie suffered a stoke; however, she did not allow this to hinder her spirit or desire to bring light to the lives of those around her. With the ongoing help of her mother, Loretta Miller, and son, Teko Edwards, Kizzie was able to sustain her independence for an additional 19 years despite the odds. She enjoyed playing cards, watching Sci-Fi movies, listening to "old but good" music and getting "Suga" from her mother, children, siblings, and grandchildren. Kizzie was known for her bright smile, sense of humor, and loved that she had for her family and friends.

Kizzie peacefully made her transition to be with our Heavenly Father on July 13, 2017. She joins her earthly father, Bennie Clark, Jr., and her brother, David Clark, who preceded her in death. Kizzie leaves the following ones to celebrate her life and legacy: her mother, Loretta Miller; sons, Ricky Edwards, Jr., and Teko Edwards (Alicia); siblings, Ronnie Clark, Willie Clark (Jean), and La-Gretta Norvell (Vee); 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Cathy Motley and Carmel Vargus; and a host of extended relatives and friends with whom she shared special memories.

A homegoing service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 N. Macedonia Ave., Muncie, with Pastor Robert D. Scaife officiating. Viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. All arrangements entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Service, 900 E. Kirby Ave., Muncie.
