Edwin E. Ochs was born on January 9, 1928, in LaSalle, Ill., to Edwin O. and Lyla (Jackson) Ochs. As a boy, he attended St. Patrick's Catholic grade school and LaSalle-Peru Township High School. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Ed returned to LaSalle and married Joyce A. Marfell on June 26, 1954, in St. Patrick's Church. He worked at the local Buick/Pontiac auto dealership as a service manager until his retirement. He passed away on April 27, 2002, and was survived by his wife, two children, six grandchildren, and a sister.
