Wallace was the first son of Roscoe and Stella Wykle. Wallace was born in 1929. Private First Class in the US Army. Wallace married Shirleen Honaker and they had four children: Joyce, Martha, Diana and Jason. He is buried in Honaker Cemetery in Ronceverte.

Wallace William Wykle, 63, of Caldwell died June 25, 1992, after a short illness.

He was a brick mason and a World War II veteran.

Surviving: wife, Shirleen Honaker; mother, Stella of Hinton; daughters, Joyce Dauwel and Diana Anderson, both of Caldwell, Martha Arbaugh of Lewisburg; son, William Jason of Caldwell; sisters, Nellie Massey of Ronceverte, Juanita Rudolph of Charlottesville, Va.; brothers, Thomas, Paul, Alfred, Ellery and Elmer, all of Hinton; four grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m Sunday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Tim Hall and the Rev. William Allen Church officiating. Burial will be in Honaker Cemetery, Coffman Hill, Ronceverte.
