Jacques Timothe Boucher. French Canadian fur trader. Revolutionary War officer. Lieutenant Governor of Illionis territory. Known as the "first citizen" of Nashville. Described as "tall, athletic, and dark-skinned, with a large head and an eagle eye "who wore a foxskin cap with a tail down the back." He moved to Nashville in 1788 and lived here until his death. A historical marker at the northwest corner of Third Avenue North, and Broadway marks the site of his home.
