SUMMITVILLE, Dec. 14 - Elmer R. Lybolt, who would have been 68 years old on March 26 next, died on Sunday, December 5, at his home at Mount Vernon, of cerebral hemorrhage, having been stricken early that morning. Mr. Lybolt had been a lifelong resident of that place, and many years ago he became a member of the old and now unused Mt. Vernon Methodist Church. Funeral services were held in the Summitville M. E. Church on December 9, conducted by Rev. Lewis F. Piper and Lewis Canfield. The choir sang two of Mr. Lybolt's favorite songs, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."

Mr. Lybolt's six sons were the pallbearers. Burial was in the Phillipsport cemetery.

Mr. Lybolt is survived by his widow and 11 children, Clarence and Jeremiah, of Poughkeepsie; Arden and Raymond, of Avoca, Pa.; Earl and Everett, at home; Mrs. Furman Hoornbeck, of Poughkeepsie; Mrs. John Appleyand, of Port Jervis; Mrs.Donald Slade, of Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Glen Commings, of Lordville, Pa.; and Miss Adeline Lybolt, at home; 16 grandchildren; three half-brothers, William, Ferris and Eugene; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Bennett. A child, Ernest, died in infancy.

There were many floral offerings, a pillow of white lilies marked "Husband;" wreaths, crescent, anchor, heart, basket of roses marked "Father;" basket and flat pieces marked "Grandpa;" a wreath of roses from the Ladies' Auxiliary of the church, standing wreath marked "Brother" and flat bouquets marked from friends and neighbors.
