William Allen Bennett

William Allen Bennett was born at Nichols, Greene County, Missouri, December 13, 1887, and died October 6, 1928, at Long Lane, Mo., age 40 years, 9 months and 23 days. He had been an invalid for a number of years and bore his affliction with patience. At the age of 22 years he professed a hope in Christ and united with Pisgah Baptist church at Long Lane, Mo., and in later years united with the Church of Christ of the same place and remained a faithful member until death. He is survived by his father and mother, James H. and Nancy I. Bennett, and three brothers, Earl, Lee and Lester, of Long Lane, Missouri, and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Huff and Mrs. Gertrude Kahler of Buffalo, Mo., and Mrs, Esther Dugan, of Marshfield, Mo., and many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were conducted at the home by R. M. Basinger, at 4 p.m. The body was laid to rest at Pisgah cemetery under direction of C. E. Routh and Son.
