Fielding Wood Curtis Sr. (Revolutionary War Veteran) was b. 01 Mar 1757 in Halifax County, Virginia and d. 14 Sep 1835 in Monroe County, Kentucky (formerly Barren County). His final resting place is unknown; he is believed to be interred with other Revolutionary War soldiers in the graveyard of the Old Mulkey Meetinghouse. Fielding had one known brother, John Curtis. Possible father is Thomas Curtis, early settler of Union County, SC.

Fielding Wood Curtis, Sr.'s exact relationship is unknown to Moses Curtis who was born about 1818 in Jackson County, Tennessee and d. after 1900 Tishomingo County, Mississippi. Moses Curtis was the son of Hillary Curtis, Sr. b. 1795 SC and Susannah Gulley b. 1797 VA. Moses Curtis was the grandson of Moses Curtis who was born about 1760 Virginia and died 1830 Jackson County, Tennessee -- this Moses Curtis is thought to be the brother of Fielding Wood Curtis Sr.
