Professional Football Player. Born Tazwell Leigh Anderson Jr., he played the tight end position for both the St. Louis Cardinals (1961-1964) and the Atlanta Falcons (1966-1967) of the National Football League. He played football collegiately at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) where he lettered three times and was named All-SEC in 1959. He was drafted in the seventh round by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1960 NFL draft and played for them from 1961 to 1964. In 1966 he became a part of the expansion Atlanta Falcons of the NFL and played for them for two seasons. He retired from pro football after the 1967 season. He went into the real estate business while with the Falcons and continued in this field after his retirement. He became a successful realtor and made significant contributions to his alma mater. He helped to create the Centennial Tower in Atlanta, Georgia, which was a part of the 1996 Olympics held in the city. He was elected to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
