Son of Julia (Doiron) and Mathias Le Clair, who owned and operated a farm in Hunter River, PEI. Brother of Jeremiah B. Le Clair. Husband of Annie (Hogan). Brother-in-law of Helena Hogan and William Hogan.
Dolph emigrated to the United States in 1920. He was employed for many years as a percher/cloth examiner in area woolen mills, namely the Wood Mill in Lawrence, MA, Stevens Mill in North Andover, MA, and another mill in Andover, MA. He met Annie at work at the Wood Mill, where she was employed for many years as a finish mender. They married about 1929, when he was aged 37 and she was aged 26. Two children were born to Annie & Rudolph: Francis Russell and Roy David.
