John Robert Adair, 61, a resident of Cottage Avenue in Wingdale, died Sunday, November 2, at New Milford Hospital after a long illness. He was born in New York City March 13, 1908, the son of the late Arthur and Margaret McDonell Adair. Mr. Adair was an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had been an attendant at the Harlem Valley State Hospital, Wingdale, for the last 14 years. Survivors include his wife, the former Genevieve Brainard; a son, John R. Adair Jr., a student at Bard College; two brothers, Arthur, Bayside, L. I., and Joseph Adair, New York City; and several nieces and nephews.
